Preparation for Tooth Fillings

At Implant & Cosmetic Dentistry of Northern Indiana, Dr. Barnard and the team are dedicated to providing the best care for their patients. When it comes to tooth fillings, preparation is key to ensure the best results.

Before beginning the tooth filling process, the dentist will first examine the area and take x-rays to get a better understanding of the tooth’s structure. This helps to determine the best course of action and ensure the most effective and long-lasting results.

Dr. Barnard will then clean the area to remove any existing decay and prepare the surface for the filling. The dentist will then carefully place the filling material, shaping and polishing it to match the natural contours of the tooth. Finally, the dentist will check the bite and make any necessary adjustments to ensure the patient’s comfort.

Went in for a broken wisdom tooth after x-rays and a couple of Pokes on the gums doctor came in and wanted to pull all of my wisdom teeth I simply asked for the broken tooth to be pulled, I initially scheduled the appointment then canceled after thinking about how I was railroad into all this extra work and cost and finding out that they maxed out my dental insurance and sent me a bill (they did absolutely nothing on my visit) but yet I still have the broken wisdom tooth and now can't get it pulled untill next year after insurance roll over unless i pay out-of-pocket because they max out my yearly plan.
